About Kindezi.de

Kindezi operates a multilingual daycare centre that provides inclusive, safer and braver spaces for African and Afro-diasporic children and their families within an Afro-centric vision. Founder Amal Abbass emphasises the paramount importance of upholding article 1 and article 3 of the German constitution (Grundgesetz) and translating these principles into everyday practice. By integrating these fundamental values into its work, Kindezi reaffirms its commitment to equality, non-discrimination, and the dignity of all individuals, contributing to the promotion of diversity, respect, and harmonious coexistence within German society.

Kindezi fosters a nurturing and stimulating learning atmosphere, enabling children to build a healthy intercultural identity and gain strength from it. Through targeted programs and activities, Kindezi not only promotes the education and growth of children but also creates a space for exchange, collaboration, and mutual empowerment of families and allies.

Kindezi sees itself in the tradition of the first day care centre for Black children in Berlin, founded by the Zimbabwean writer Tsitsi Djangarembe in the 1990s, which today continues to support the development of Black children from an early age.
